I talk to a few offroad shops that actually install lifts and they told me that a full set of new rear leaf springs in the rear would be better than blocks and add a leaf that most lift kits come with. They said a new set of springs would be stronger of course (probably a few more leafs) and they would be arched enough to give you the lift you need in the rear to compensate for the blocks. oh yeah less axle wrap with the new springs they said.
What do ya'll think? I know they are more expensive that for sure.:rocking:

The new spring packs will provide less axle wrap. But, they will not flex as well as other combinations, and they will ride a little stiffer.
Doing a 4" shackle flip and small block would definitely flex better if that matters to you.

:read:
cheapest = blocks
moderately effective step=full height leaves
best setup for ride/flex= shackle flip, mild height lift springs. and a small block
