Ok so as a few of you guys know i have been working on doing a body drop on my 2500hd. Now the purpose of doing the body drop was so that i could have that lowered look but still have a fully functional 4wd as the setup i was on before was destroying cvs within a few hundred miles. I will say that doing a body drop is a ton of work it took me about 2 days of tear down and currently installing everything back. So far i have four of the body mounts welded back on and the front frame section is also back on plan to start the floor today and the other two body mounts. The overall drop that i was able to achieve was a 3.5" body drop now before you all jump to conclusions just remember that the 2500HD already sit 2" higher so my drop is like a 1500 doing a 1.5" BD.

^^^^This was before the body drop^^^^

Floor cut out

Going back together going to raise the front bumper a lil more and as you can see the frame is hidden alot more and also the front has the torsion bars cranked all the way up. Once i switch the tires up ill crank the front back down some more but only if i can maintain level cv shafts

well the only thing i hate is how much i had to trim the lower ball joint when i installed the spindles. I really wanna narrow the track so that i can bring the wheel in a little but cause finding wheels with backspacing to allow them to tuck is proving arduous. I could lose the spindles and go with LCAs instead.

Found some 245/65/17 tires with around 60% tread for 100 bucks so ill be getting those to replace the 265/70/17 that I have now anyone think that's too small the 2500 came with 245/75/16 so I'd be an inch shorter from factory but 2 inches smaller than what I have now

I really just wanna get the 420s in 275/60/17 but idk if I'm gonna keep the H2s

Definitely wouldnt remove drop spindles..you could run 3" control arms and stock spindles but I didnt like how mine rode with that setup..it was really rough compared to my drop spindles, lcas and 2500 keys but that was with me at 5" drop.
Looking forward to mkre progress on this!

By the way, I do have a set of DJM drop arms for torsion suspension that I need to get rid of if you're interested
