I'm lookin at upgradeing the exhaust on my 2011 5.3L with a cai to a full system instead of muffler I've got now Ive been looking at borla and can find more on the s type but not much on either one o just wanna see who's running either style and what you think or if anyone knows about sound difference or has any options on other brands I'm looking for a pretty agressive sound

I had an s-type on my truck this summer. Very aggressive sound. It sounded awesome but it had some pretty good drone to it. Mine was dumped over the axel

how much did you guys pay for the xr-1s...Like 120? and for duals are you running 3 inch tailpipes or did you use a reducer? Im thinking of doing xr-1s to but dont want to lose to much back pressure running dual xr-1s with 3 inch pipe on 6.0L

i have magnaflows on my 01 6.0 with 3" I/O and xr-1s on my 02 8.1 w/ 3" I/O...they flow about the same, and i have plenty of backpressure

i paid about 130 a muffler. i think i ordered thru amazon

I have the 6.2 with an xr-1 turned down before the axle. Definitely recommend extending the pipe out to the rear. The drone in mine is pretty harsh. But overall it sounds awesome! I got mine off eBay and I think I paid like $130 and $50 to have a muffler shop weld it on.

i dont know. they dont sound as aggressive on the 5.3s. there are some good vids in the xr1 thread on here or fsc cant remember which.
