As you guys saw in my pictures in previous post i have a little cali lean. about 2 inches with the spacer stacked up front. Not real noticeable but with a trailer its bad lol..... full view of the sky!

I was wondering if i could take the stock fabtech 5 inch block and sawp for like a 6 or 7 inch block.... i just want an inch in the rear....

i dont know how much travel the fabtech rear shocks have but if anyone has any insight or idea's how i can get another inch out of the back i would appreciate the info.

i have an extra leaf spring from a fabtech 6 inch kit..... i guess it came with the 5 inch block and add-a-leaf. I have an extra leaf. will that alter my driveshaft or shim kit? someone told me i would have to shim something... sorry not much knowledge on the transmission aspect of things

do not add two AALs please. Get shackle Flip and run it with your AAL and a 2.5" Zero Rate or get full springs

Definitely do not do a 6" or 7" block, if you could even find one. You would have tons of axle wrap! I would go with the shackle flip and zero rate like Jameson said.

Hey Jameson.....do you have any pics of the side and back of your truck with the shackle flip on. I am just wondering how far down the spring eye will sit below the body of the truck, if any. What do you have besides the 4" shackle flip and 2.5" zero rate....AAL?

It's not bad unless you have a BL. I had the same setup as Jameson. 4'' Shackle flip w/ stock shackles, 2.5'' zero rate, and 1.5'' AAL.

I did some research around my area and a local shop will give me a 3 inch Body Lift installed with gap guards and all the goodies for $800. Oh and thats including removing the leveling kit. Im no where near that kind of money because i would need to run 37's which are another 1800 lol.... my 35's would look way too small. Gears would need changed to 4:56 too.. so it looks like im sticking with the cali - lean for a while!!

Do not pay 800 for a BL. You can get a Zone 3" BL for 3-400 and OEM liners for 75. Installation is simple and removing the leveling kit is too!

Yeah i thought about doing a body lift but im not that mechanically inclined to do it myself lol. Maybe if one of my buddies could help. $800 was for the entire kit and installation and 1 year warranty on the install. But $800 + $1800 for 37/13.50/20 mud grapps + $200 gears is looking at $2800 build for 3 inches taller. Im almost done with fire school so once i get a job ill be in the market for an 07-08 duramax. Ill do the 10'' rize on 37's
