Is it possible to swap clusters and add a trans temp Gauge? Are all trucks wired for it? More questions to follow, thanks

if its an nbs or newer truck then yes, you can just swap the cluster. if its the obs in your avatar then no, youll have to have an after market gauge.

Just get a cluster that has trans temp gauge, plug it in, and it will work.

Can a dealer program the miles to match my stock cluster? I'd like to get a junkyard one with trans temp gauge and have it rebuilt as mine will need it anyways before long.

You can buy one for around $200 already rebuilt, programmed and customized to your liking on eBay. Digital_dash_solutions on eBay was where I got mine from.

You could try to add it to your stock cluster. I did on my 04 and got lucky and it works.

Like Stabby said, get a rebuilt one off ebay. usually they want yours as a core though.

a few years back Schram auto parts was giving these clusters away for about 120.00 with free shipping on Ebay. They were brand new units with zero miles. I bought two, one for my Yukon, and one for my Sierra. They were complete with the grey Denali bezel. I live near Concord, CA so I had Speed -0- Tach program the miles for about 50.00. Might want to look up Schram and see if these are still around.
