Changing amps?

1253 Views 4 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  BuiltNotBought99
I have the jbl 600.1 now and I have a 10" L7 and it hits ok and I think my sealed box is big enough but I want more... Would upgrading to the jbl 1200.1 be a noticeable difference or any other amps for around $250 $300?

I have an obs Rockford punch 800a2 pushing around 1100 watts bridged to my 2 10" L7's and they hit pretty hard. I know they can handle more, but shits to loud for me at times. And I don't have they amp turned up to high, still have more power if I wanted to really push it. But its a decent combo to me.

**EDIT** Answer to question; Yes it will be a considerable difference.

yea it'd be a big difference... the JBL is the cheapest amp at that power level.. unless you want to step up to a 1001BD, the 1200.1 is prbly the best amp you can buy. Its supposed to be one ohm stable... so if you ever do get really bored
