Theres not much difference alot of times becouse the way shipping and installation add in. While they may say $150 online you still need to ship and install. So unless you have a way to cut one or both out cheaply your not going to save any real money on the deal.

I've bought tires offline before, but they were fairly special road race stlye tires so it was worth it to me, but I wouldn't do it to a DD set-up.

Thats why I buy tires at a place close to where I go incase I have a problem I have them to go too. Also I think pro-comps are fairly common so I would just source locally.

If you have discount tires in your area or anybody that price matches online prices then here is what you do.

Check out tire racks price and compare it to discount. Tire rack should be alot cheaper. Call your local discount tire and order them. Don't say a word about tire rack yet. When you go go pick them up then drop the price comparision on them. They will then try to raise your Install price to make up for the price drop. Buuuut you don't want them installed there. So if you don't say a word about not getting them installed there or the price comparison till your there to get them you will save some good cash and get free shipping on tires. Take the tires to a friend or some small time shop and get them installed. I have told this method to a discount tire guy and he said "yup you found the red tape"

Discount Tire wanted $140 to swap different tires on to my rims. Found a local shop to do it for less than half of that.

i use the same method at discount tire. usually compare to onlinetires.com when they have free shipping promotions, because theyll usually tell you how it costs to ship from online co.'s and you can throw that in their face.....but ive gotten great deals on tires at discount through matching prices.

There is a tire rack warehouse here in Shreveport. So I've ordered tired from them and went and picked them up in person. Free shipping FTW!! I got some Sumitumos for the wifes car for like $70 each!
