It will also ruin the clay bar dont ever use it on paint after touching yor rims with it.

Before the bar is trash, it's good for wheels and glass, chrome bumpers, etc. Use the new bars for paint.

great info. thanks. I thinks it's some kind of damage from the brake dust. It's only on the front rims. they get nice and shiny with my powerball mini. but i can still see and feel something on them. It's almost like a spotted layer or haze. I wash them every week (two at the most) and the rims are only a little over a year old. I shoulde waxed them more often. this is only the second time i did.
