I did not see any post about my question.....its Regarding a change on Compnine's Web Site,

I went to their Web Site to run a Vin# Number, I noticed that Compnine is now charging Monthly fees.....to do a Vehicle Vin# Number Decoding/RPO finder,

Link....Compnine
http://www.compnine.com/vid.php

Has anyone else noticed this??

Yep, I noticed it. They even sent me an email.

The VIN look up is nice, but not worth paying for. I doubt they'll make much money off of it.

People would post links on several forums directing them to the compnine site to look up their VIN. It was free advertising for them. I'm sure all that will stop now and traffic to their site is going to drop off.

:read:

I had never heard of compnine.com until people started using it for VIN lookup, RPO lookup, and part numbers. I think the VIN lookup was the most popular.

Well, I have my lookup saved. As long as they still have diagrams and part numbers for me, they will continue to have a chance to sell to me. Every part I've looked up in the past, they haven't had available, or I'd seriously have considered buying it even if their price was more. I appreciate the info that they make available.

I noticed last week but I forgot that this thread is here.

The closest thing left that I know of is gmpartsgiant.com but they don't give you the whole part number and navigation is a pain in the ass (even worse than compnine was). You might squeeze some out of the ACDelco eCatalog:

Might be able to squeeze some part numbers out of saved copies of compnine.

...nevermind, they didn't dig deep. :(

Did you guys hear that they are closed now? I told you they would loose traffic to their site once they started charging.
