Hello all,

Just bought an 09 Tahoe. It has (5) 12V power outlets that all seem to be continuous power. Is there a simple way to make some/all of these switched power? I'd like to keep radar/cell chargers plugged in all the time, and have them go on with the car in acc mode or on and off when the car is off. Please let me know if there is a simple, clean way. Thanks! By the way, both the dealer and GM Customer Service said they should go off when the car is off, but they do not.

what I did was adding an extra one under the dash connected to a fuse that gets power from ignition.

My 08 sierra does the same thing but It's not like enough to drain my battery or anything... easiest off just to unplug stuff :D

You can do it, but you've got to find the circuit they are on and feed it from the ignition/acc source instead of from the battery. If there is anything else on the circuit, you'll have to seperate it out or it'll only be hot off the ignition too.
