As some of you know I sold my lifted 2012 to buy a 2014 RCSB Z71. The only reason I got rid of it was because of work which now requires more travel and finding a spot to park that thing was always a challenge. Although it only had 7K miles and I dumped a ton of money into I'm very glad I got the 2014. It's so much nicer in every aspect.

A month after buying the truck I bought a house, which has consumed all my time (and money) so I haven't got around to detailing it. This weekend I finally was able to dedicate some time and polish it. I tried out the CG V-Line and was very unhappy. Luckily I had some Menzerna 85RD laying around which took out 90% of my swirls. I topped the paint off with 2 coats of Blacklight and 1 coat of Poorboys Natty's Red.

I also built a workbench and picked up a new tool box for the garage:

Thanks guys. This picture is from the first day I got the house. I don't have much planned for the truck since I have a zillion projects at the house. I Did order a 2" lowering kit for the rear though. Need to install that soon.

After some reading I might get a 1" shorter block and keep the setting at 1" for the full 2"

Vn truck! Looks soo clean. Did good sir. What's your future plans with the bad boy?
Thanks. I need a spray in liner, weather tech mats first. Id love to color match the nose get exhaust and an 8" alpine nav unit too but that's far down the road

Haha thanks Kenny. I love that truck. Rode amazing. My father gets compliments everywhere. It's just clean and simple. If I didn't take this job I would've kept it. I do love my new truck though.

I tested v38 on white pad and it didn't finish down nice or take out the swirls. I stepped up to v36 on orange and it did more damage than good. I struggled to find a good balance to correct the paint. I grabbed my menzerna 85rd and it corrected 90% of my swirls and finished nice. I need to order some menzerna 400.

I also had some dusting issues with the v36. I never have dust with menzerna. Luckily I only bought the sample kit.

I will say though. Blacklight is the best product I've ever used. I still want to try that netshield though

I agree with the blacklight. I love netshield so much though. While i've found decent success with VLine i have found better results with other brands like Shine Supply. Almost no dust it was so awesome.
