Re: cool white led's in a denali cluster?

What year cluster? I know the OBS Denali's had a blue/green tint to them at night, and it was the gauge face not the bulbs, so white LEDs would still show up blue/green.

I'm not sure about the NBS clusters, but I do know on my stock cluster, white LEDs give off a light blue tint, because the gauge face is slightly blue tinted. It wasn't really noticeable until I put my Kenwood X794 in, and it's screen was really white, so I put the stock bulbs back in, it was closer that way.

Re: cool white led's in a denali cluster?

2001. i just installed a Kenwood X794 about a month ago and would like to get everything to match up to it. so, i'm probably going to have to take apart my cluster and hit the clear parts with polish remover maybe?

I really need to do this. I, like all of you, have the Kenwood X794 and this difference in color has been pissing me off. How much work is it to swap everything?

It's really easy to do, just remember when you buy the leds to get the twist locks too. All you have to do is take off the dash piece that goes around the guages and radio and then just four screws to get to the rear of the cluster.

Shit, I didn't know it was that easy. Where can I buy these twist locks? And the bulbs are 194 right?

That only works for 99-02. 03+ bulbs are soldered in.
