Corsa Sport is installed

Well I got the Corsa Sport muffler and tip put on this morning by the local exhaust shop...Didn't charge me much at all to do it and it looks great

My only issue is that it isn't nearly as loud as I had hoped for or thought it would be...you can't even tell the truck is running when you crank it and you have to be at the back of the truck to hear it idle...I am definitely glad that I went with the Sport instead of the Touring because I would be really let down. I am going to drive it a few days and see if it changes anything, but it definitely sounds different than I thought so far. (BTW I only drove it like 5 miles back to work)

Is the muffler louder outside than it seems because it is so quiet inside?

Nice. Isnt that muff supposed to be quiet at idle and loud at part to full throttle?

Exactly. When I had the sport on my truck it sounded stock at idle even with a 224/224 112 lsa cam and longtubes with no cats. When you go WOT though it should be loud as hell.

Tha's kewl...I figured that is how it was supposed to work, but on the sound clips on their site it seemed like it had a little more balls at idle...Must say that the dent wasn't much of a dent Mark and I really appreciate the fast shipping and helping me pick out the muffler.

BTW you are positive that this muffler was the Sport muffler right? Cause I mean honestly it is dead quiet at idle

Yep. I've owned several of each. Mine was the same way even with no cats. There were times I thought my truck was stalled even with my exhaust setup. That's just the nature of the beast. LOL, I guess when I said "quiet at idle" I should have rephrased it to "silent at idle"

Go do a WOT run if you haven't already you should appreciate it then.

I was just giving you a hard time man...I guess I was expecting a DEEP and QUIET idle that I could hear ya know? Definitely quieter than I thought, but also don't have any noise on the highway which was what I wanted :)

I am going to give it hell the next few days and see if i like it more under throttle :driver:

X2 :werd:
they are coming guys...i picked it up at lunch and had to haul ass back to work...i will try to get some when i get off work
hmmmm... i dunno, my touring on my crew cab is significantly different than the sport on my wife burban. Same engine, but totally different sounds. My truck you could hardly hear when it was at idle. My wife's suburban you can hear clear as day at idle, its has a nice deep rumble.
Everything is installed...and it is the sport muffler...I am just not used to vehicles being so quiet at idle and in the truck...after driving it some more yesterday it is louder than I thought it was and I really like it...wish it was louder in the cab, but that was the reason i went corsa (don't want it droning with my little boy in the backseat)
they are uploading right now chat...it's only a short clip i took when i got home yesterday tho

That's weird. I've owned 5 corsa exhausts now. I've had 2 of them on my truck and they were both sports. This was one of them. I personally opened the box from corsa labeled (corsa sport) for the first time(there was one line of tape, never resealed). When I installed it, even without cats it was extremely quiet at idle. My friends even noticed it. However, when I got on it at WOT it was almost as loud as my open cutout is.

I now have the stock muffler on my truck and it is about the same at idle as the corsa was.

I suppose anything is possible, but it would have had to have been a significant error on Corsa's part back when I bought the kit.
