i'd like to know this also, as im working on my dash too. :bowtie:
Pretty much the same way ...groundscraper said:Thanks guys. I think I'll leave the airbag alone for now. Now, about the handle, I was thinking of just doing what Larry is saying, but I can see how the paint would crack. Now, how would I go about fiberglassing this thing? I've seen sub enclosures being fiberglassed, but I don't know if it's done the same way? Somebody help me out here.....
99redsilv said:the airbag box shouldn't crack at all.. I can push on mine hard and it doesn't crack one bit, the handle doesn't even crack when you squeeze it.
Theres still a chance that it could tho.. thats why I'm having the handle and bumps for it cut off and fiberglassed over this winter.
I couldn't figure out how to get it off either. Not sure on doing the handle. That would be hard I think. Let us know when you start on it.groundscraper said:How's the airbag box removed? I haven't taken that out and didn't even check out how it's held in there, but now is good time to do it. As for the handle bar, I'm going to try and fiberglass that one.
Hmmm....you know what, it shouldn't be that hard to mask off stuff since I have the whole dash off right now. It's only a small part anyway....99redsilv said:I just masked off my entire interior and painted it inside the truck lol
I was running out of time to get it done before the first show of the season and it still turned out pretty good.
