I just bought a 89 k1500 and the engine needs a rebuild. how much would it cost rebuild my chevy 350? and if I dropped an edelbrock 350 in there would my truck pass smog?

it depends who is building the engine and what they are doing to it.. have you tried calling any local shops? Amazon sells rebuilt engines also. I'd check reviews before buying any, though.

As far as smog legal goes.. are the parts CARB Stamped? I don't know what 'edelbrock 350' you're talking about. I'd check with the seller to see if it is CA smog legal.
