Truck info: 2006 silverado 1500, 4wd, manual 5 speed (nv3500)
Alright i completed my 4.3 v6 to 5.3 v8 swap a month or so ago. Trucks been running great, but im having a hard time getting my cruise control to work again. I swapped in a 2003 5.3 motor with a 2004 wiring harness. It is DBW.
Heres what i have done by the research and info i have found.
TAC MODULE / V6 cruise control harness (went to v6 cruise control module)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pin 4 ---------------- Dark blue wire
Pin 5----------------- Grey / Black wire
Pin 6----------------- Light Blue
Pin 14---------------- Grey
I know all this wiring is correct because i tested it all with my meter.
When i hook my meter up to pin 4, and push the cruise set button i get 12v.
When i hook my meter up to pin 5, and push the resume/accelerate button i get 12v
When i hook my meter up to pin 6 and hit the brakes i get 12v
When i hook my meter up to pin 14, i get 12v when the cruise control switch is on, and i lose 12v when i turn it off.
With all that working correctly my cruise control SHOULD work correctly. As long as im getting the TCC brake signal to the PCM. Which i havent checked as im not sure where to check it. I know its PIN 33 on the blue C1 PCM connector. But without unplugging it from the PCM not sure how to check it. I would think im getting that signal as im not getting a DTC saying that ive lost it.
Any ideas? Or am i wrong on my wiring? HELP!
