I had to cut out the stock one on mine. I hate it when you can see the stock grill behind it, but that is just me. Oh and it wasnt that hard. Just tape off the chrome if you are gonna use air tools to sand down the rough edges. I scuffed the chrome piece that separates the upper and lower part of the grill. The good thing is it was the bottom part so you cant see it unless you look under it.

mine not cut out and you cant see that the stock on is there unless the sun is directly shining on it. im gonna paint the stock part black so that its a little less noticeable

the bolt overs usually tend to stick out a little more than the cut outs. i mean stick out like lookswise and fitwise. i had a cut out grille on my 99 chevy but I like the bolt overs better so thats what im gonna get on my 05.

hey buttespade, i like that grille you have, is that a E&G Classics brand grille?

its a precision EZsolid grille, doesnt stick out at all and fits perfect. its a little pricier than all the other grilles but definately worth it

The cut-outs aren't hard to do, just a little time consuming.. I think the cut-outs look better but depending on the brand you can't tell much difference.

I have a 99-02 Silverado Carriage Works bolt over grill that I put on my truck, but I took it off right after I put it on because I didn't like the look with my front end replacement. If anyone is interested in buying it let me know.

May not want to do cutout if your truck will be mainly stock and you may sell one day. Someone may not want that. With boltover, you can always remove it.

whered you find it that cheap, i got mine for 220 like 1 1/2 years ago, i had a hard time justifying spending that much on a grille but waited a couple weeks and im so glad i did everytime i see the front of my truck:imo
