Was looking the other day and my cv boots inner clamp is loose and the boot is push back some, how can I reseal the cv boot properly. I was thinking a hose clamp of somesort, but i'm sure theres a better way.

Also is there a way to regrease the cvs, b/c some grease has seeped out.

you can get a new boot from the auto store and they will come with 2 new clamps and while its out repack that side and install the new boot and clamps.

I think the cost is like 8 bucks for a new one.

Pump it full of grease with a gun, then put a hose clamp and run it. Those cv boot clamps are a pita if you don't have the tool to clamp them.

totally right, I usually just got a whole new CV, buy two from O'Riellys and they'll have life time warranties on them, rip a boot, and one hour later have a whole new CV on them.

same thing happened to mine and I just took off the clamp and fixed it up and put some more grease in the boot and put it back together and it has been fine ever since.
