i am not used to the lack of rear axle articulation and locking rear diff on this truck yet! i put my front tire on an 18" high ledge, gave it a little gas. i am used to climbing things like this with open diffs from my toyota days, not used to the locker kicking it... so when the axle locked, it launched the truck up onto the ledge and it just sort of teetered there for minute, scared the shit out of me. it didn't look too bad but it felt like the truck was ready to roll. the rear tire was about 12" off the ground. so i jumped out and shot some pics. i don't plan to do any serious wheeling in this truck due to its size, but my toy had about 10" more spring travel in either direction stock.

Nice tires... LTX A/T's:head:

michelblings are the only tires i buy. the LTX A/Ts are nice, great in the snow and they'll last forever, but dry traction (esp. in the rear) is less than desireable because they're so narrow, but much better than the P-rated goodyears that came with the truck. first mod i did was get rid of them.

I just wish they made them in a 285/75... I have the 265's on my truck and the 245's on our suburban. They do alright in light mud too. Plus I actually feel safe on the road when its raining, unlike my piece of shit firestones

yeah 285s would be nice. i'd go with BFG if i needed a 285 all terrain, they're made by michelin.
