I traded in my 06 Vmax crew on Monday for this new truck:

2014 Silverado Crew Cab Shortbed LTZ 4wd, 6.2L. I had test driven this truck back in May, but I was holding out to order a truck with the Max Tow package. But when I saw that the 6.2L was constrained until the 4th quater of 2014, and chevy announced the 0% financing deal last weekend I went for it. I'm currently receiving a lot of ball busting because it "looks exactly like your last truck". It's so much better than my Vmax in every way. I don't regret it one bit.

Future plans:
1.) AMP Steps
2.) Tonneau Cover
3.) Leveling Kit
4.) Put on trail grapps from Vmax
5.) Maybe 1.25" BL
6.) Z71 grille
7.) Replace interior wood grain
8.) Debadge / desticker
9.) Color matched mirror caps and bowties
10.) Maybe color matched handles

noice. although the nbs ccsb is one of the cleanest trucks, their ride quality just can't compare to a coilover setup of the new trucks. But gott damn do something about that nasty woodgrain.

The 6.2 absolutely blows the LQ9 away. No comparison. The new truck makes it feel like I was towing a boat anchor with the Vmax. Only thing I don't like is it is so damn quiet. I which mine sounded like the 6.2 in my wife's NNBS Yukon Denali.

Yeah, the exterior of the NBS is a great design. I always said I wish I could have dropped that sheetmetal over the new truck's chassis and interior. The NBS can't touch the new truck for features either.

And the wood grain is getting painted or swapped with the pieces that match the center stack. I cant stand it either.

Maybe I'm crazy , but IMO your truck is super nice. I just don't understand why Chevy trucks are 4x4 but don't look like it. The wood grain is cool . Tint and some nice aggressive 4x4 wheel tire package would set it off.

I just noticed the exhaust exits behind the tire versus straight out the back on nnbs 6.2. Is it still 3.5" pipe?

Nope, it's a 3".

Did a little fooling around with it this weekend, washed, clay bared, and waxed it. Removed 4x4 decals and painted bowties.

So then I started messing around and got out the jack and "leveled" it. Fenders were 36.5" front and 38.5" rear stock.

Then I put on my 305/55/20 nitto trails and 20x9.5" Procomps from my old truck to see how they fit. The wheels have 5" back spacing. This is it sitting on the ground un leveled.

Then I "leveled" it with the jack again, fenders at 39.75" front and back

Obviously needs a 2.5" level, will probably get the TGC 2.5 if it works with the aluminum suspension. From there will probably have to either do small norcal mod or get 1.25" RC body lift. Not sure if I want to cut up fenders on a brand new $50K truck though.

Also torn on debadging the tail gate and door letters. Definately a PITA to clean in between and inside them. Give me some opinions.
