In the near to distant future I'm thinking about buying this, thanks David :shake:

Will I be able to hook this up with a system and have all the harnesses I need for my door chimer, my steering wheel controls and XM radio work with it?
How will the XM work with this, would I just hook it up to my commander and antenna and it will work? Also, will I be able to hook the deck up with one of the metra harnesses so I don’t have to cut my factory harness?

everything will hook up no problem. If you wanna do the commander you could either get the cdrb-10 aux input or get the Pioneer XM box and ant or the new Terk universal systems which will plug right into the Pioneer like the original boxes
here they are: http://www.terk.com/direct.html
we've been using them at work on Sonys and Pioneers with no problems

do you have cOnStar or Bose? If you don't, I recommend the axxess GMRC-01 for power, chime, data, RAP, etc. for the steering controls, you can use the PAC SWI-X, but you need an IR remote to program it, the N1 doesn't include one. For XM you'll need a new XM tuner that's compatible with the N1, you can use the antenna and that's it..
