o.k. i need some help.......i did the denali swap awhile ago and asked for opinions on perhaps changing my grill.......i got alot of great feedback from here but very mixed opinions. anyway.....soooooo theres this kid around town that thinks he is mister custom truck.....whatever......maybe he is......he proceeds to tell me i should keep the factory denali grill but remove the gmc.......i am saying i cant because you can see where the logo is suppose to be.............the holes are cut off ect...it wouldn't look clean...he says hes recently seen two denalis (suv) with factory grills NO logo, all clean just symetrical holes..cant see where logo is...........i'm like no......i have been looking everywhere for grills, main, and bumper grills...........i have NOT seen a denali, with the factory grill, without the logo,......... and i highly doubt those people changed out there denali grill to an aftermarket punch hole grill......no....i say B.S... can someone elaborate.....

He's probably talking out his ass, thinks a speed grill is a OEM Denali grill  .. keep the Denali Grill and color match the GMC logo ... there's just something about a Denali front end ... if I had the money I'd switch my truck over to one :read:

it's yours........
I like how the billet grills look in the denali shells...very nice, smooth look :imo
I think you should stay with EXACTLY what you have. It looks sick, and is a great desktop for me :D
your setup looks fine with me, billet GMC would do you right...
Leave the GMC logo there, it looks fine. He doesnt know what hes talking about.

Hey bigb, maybe you can help me out since you have done your denali conversion.
Ok, I have an 03 Yukon. I have everything (bumper, grille, fillers, retainers) except for the following parts:

15153490 - Insert
15060470 - Impact bar

Are those two really necessary? Did you add them to your truck?
Thanks
:word: to the billet GMC emblem. I don't think a colormatched pewter logo would look as good as the billet grille :imo

Any more pictures of your truck?
Hey BigB, I'm in Scottsdale -- where in AZ are you?
I agree with the chrome or billet GMC logo. And then clear all the yellow out from lights. That would look clean and custom!

lights in front are clear?
as for the issue with the plastic piece behind the grill showing through.....thats why you have to cut out thouse plastic bars and shit before installing your new grill so it looks right. Not just slap your aftermarket grill on top of it like a non-professional.

what?
I put a chrome Billet emblem on the front of my denali and I think it looks pretty good. I am looking for a vallence insert for the "bumper" one that matches the stock holley style grill.

Anyone seen something like this? I want to remove the town hooks and the black plastick vallence and have it filled with a chrome holley style insert. Haven't seen one anywhere yet or even the material to make one myself.

e-mail me if u have suggestions ([email protected])
Denali on 22z, that's what bigb wants too for the valance. I think your best bet would be fabricating something yourself.

Cutting out the inside part of your grill, is the professional way of installing an aftermarket grill. Just slapping it over your grill is the crappy el cheapo way of doing it.
