1. dont cut it out.
2. it only messes with the PCM intially to think its getting more air so more fuel is pumped into the motor, reulting in more performance, but it will eventually get used ot it, and lower the tables in the PCM, so you wont feel anything anymore.
3. if remember correctly, its there to smooth airflow and provide a more spread and equal reading for the MAF.
