Are the 295/60/20 much skinnier than the 305/55/20?

It appears they are 34" tall and 12.1" wide while the 305s are 12.6

Hmm ok. If Nitto states 12.6 and they actually measure out to 13" would the 295/60 measure out to 12.5"?

Well I know the literal difference is 10mm but the sidewall aspect also plays a part in it.

I understand they are slightly different dimensionally, but was hoping for some real world answers.

I'm pretty sure sidewall aspect has nothing to do with the width of the tire when dealing in metric sizes, only the height....
