Had to take my truck to work today since my g/f needed her car which is also my DD. Leaving lovely Newark (aka the hood), sitting at a red light literally one block from the highway and I hear something pelt my truck..wtf Almost sounded like it hit the roof, figured someone tossed something over the overpass...then I hear another one that's not as pronounced. Get out of the truck real quick, take a look around and see nothing. A woman 3 cars in front of me also gets out of her car to take a look around. So I wasn't the only one imagining this.
Get home take a closer inspection of my dirty truck and notice a decent sized ding right under the mirror on the passenger side on the door. Cleaned up the area and took a few pics. The paint chipped off and there is a dime sized ding. I'm guessing some punks with a pellet gun were shooting as us? Or is the chipped paint not round.not sure what it was. That's all I can think of. No way something falling down would make a ding like that on the horizontal surface such as my door. Can't find the second one yet.
The scratch I can fill in carefully, but the ding pisses me off and sticks out a lot more since the door is 100% void of any dings, I rarely take this truck anywhere, and no way it's a door ding being up so high, plus it looks fresh.
So, can dent wizard remove the ding then I can try and repair the chipped paint? I purposely positioned the ding one of these shots against the black window of my Saturn to try and show the ding depression.
You can clearly see the chipped paint on this shot.
