I see many of you guys running them, and the only complaints I ever hear is bad ball joints which can be easily re-placed with moog ball joints for a F-150.

But from my early years of hot-rodding I always hated having to grease polyurathane bushings so I switched to Poly Graphite bushing from PST and have been happier.

Has anyone ever thought about doing this to get rid or squeking or are the periodic greasing enough to keep squeks away?

how about switching to Energy Suspension graphite Impregnated polyurethane bushings. They are simply the best you can get no question. Plus they are not expensive. They are about 3 bucks each. You can buy just the bushings from www.suspension.com (suspension restoration products co.) The owner is Bruce and he is very knowledgable on suspension bushings. The bushings as the name implies have graphite in the polyurethane. Ive seen all kinds of bushings and used ES and also Daystar. The ES bushings outlast the Daystar by twice as much. The Daystar bushings also crush easy and get spongy after a while if they are in a bind situation like say a triangulated 4 link where the bushings are at an angle from the direction of travel.

By the way, I have heard of using the F-150 balljoints. Im assuming thats on the DJM arms for the 99-06 GM fullsize lowers? I have a set of 08 up lowers in my shop and the balljoint on it fits the 99-06 spindle so Im assuming the F-150 balljoint fits the 08 up as well. Im also assuming the F-150 balljoint is the 97-03 lower for a 2wd.. anyone confirm this? im making some 08 up arms and Id like to know if theres a different lower balljoint I can use.

Cool, Ill look into those to use on my 99-06 lowers and also my 07 up. Im sure the stock replacements for those are way expensive. plus the stock 99-06 are a bolt in and that makes them UGLY..

thanks

Ok so Im thinking these F-150 lower balljoints will fit the 99-06 and also the 07 up. Thats a good thing to know. Ive heard it before but since I wasnt doing any 99-06 or 07 up I didnt retain that info in my brain....

thanks very much. Imma go to Oreilly or Autozone and get me one so I can turn some balljoint cups on the lathe.

How did you guys especially with the NNBS trucks like the handling with DJM arms? Do they have any noticable bump steer?

I am not getting a crew cab anytime soon since truck values have tanked so I will lower my truck here when it cools off a bit this time. My wife and I are having a kid so we thought about the change, but since its not going to work econmoically anytime soon. F-it.

I liked the handling of the truck after i lowered it. the low pro tires might have helped a bit too. As for bump steer i didnt notice any at all actually.

I have been considering replacing my front struts at the same time I do the 4-6 drop or lower if I feel I need it.

Would the Bell Tech drop struts work with a DJM 4 inch drop LCA UCA to get 5 inches of drop? Or would I not be able to get it alinged even with camber plates?
