aight fellas im trying to order some doestch tech/summit sport shocks. I am going to be installing the MCG 5-7 kit and possibly giving the front coils a little trim if necessary to give me 6". What size shocks would be sufficient for this application. Also what would be the most effective way to gain another inch out back with a flip and shackles. The truck is an 02 RCSB - Thanks
not really lookin for 9" just maybe 8" lol. is this achievable with just the flip and shackles? Im gonna stick with the 29.00 summits, just need the size. thanks for the kinda useful info though!
I might just go off of your part numbers because I want to have everything at once. If im going to be at the same height drop wise I think ill be safe. Did they travel ok and were just too stiff or were they an incorrect size? What did you use up front?
I have helper bags so i dont need a stiff shock since i dont have a problem bottoming out. If you plan to do an 8" drop i'd deffinatly consider helper bags.
My truck is 4x4 so the shocks I have up front are different. I am running monroe sensatracs all the way around now.
I read your posts in the summit shock thread and saw that you disliked them along with spanky. I dont mind a more stiff ride and have heard plenty of good things about them as well. I appreciate your opinion, just dont have the money to spend $200.00 a shock, so its these or stock . Non of NORCALSS's summit links work anymore would you happen to know the answer to my question above?
have the summit/dt boys sittin in my room just waitin on my kit from tim!
