I recently purchased my first DSLR camera, Nikon D50, through eBay for a great price. It isn't the great camera, but for the price, I could not pass up the chance to get into DSLRs. Currently, I have the Nikon D50, a Sigma 18-50mm 1:3.5-5.6 lens, and a Nikon 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G lens, which came with the Autofocus not working.

I've been playing around with them, and I'm loving taking pictures. What gear would you guys recommend specifically for truck shooting?

Your pictures look great!

With my Nikon D3000 I run the 18-55 normally, with a UV filter that stays on and sometimes I put a polarizer on with a sunny day. I carry around a tripod when I'm at shows as well. I wished I had more lenses to choose from but of course they are $$$.

On another note, you stay in Alexandria. I work in Alex, but I stay in the Hineston area. Can't ever miss Metro Car wash! You planning on attending Cajun Nationals this year?
