ok so i was talking to some guy down at my local speed shop and he was telling me i had to change my "remote oil filter" in my transmission and my "remote air filter" for my deisel. what are these filters and where are they located? this is my first deiselso i have no idea how to work on it...thanks.

Never heard of them, but it woudn't hurt to get under it or under the hood and have a look. As far as I know its only got one oil filter, whether its remotely mounted or not shouldn't matter. Probably same thing with the tranny.

Under the truck on the tranny is a small red filter, thats the external spin on filter for the trans, it should be changed I think it says like every 7000 miles. Air filter for the duramax is like all the other NBS chevy's in the airbox, you should also change the spin on diesel fuel filter located on the right(passenger) valve cover, its also a spin on. kinda tight, will need to prime the system with the button on the filter housing till it gets hard aftre you get the new one on.

dont replace the fucking filters go to another shop get free estimate on wat dey say den do self for prawfit
