E-Fan swap

I'd like to know this aswell.

I'm not sure if there is any way that you can turn on the fans in the PCM on those model trucks. If there was a way to do this, you could use a harness from BlackBearPerformance and simply wire up the fans. You would need a tune to turn on the pin from the PCM. I'm sure a set of LS1 fans would bolt in quite easily.

The computer is physically capable of controlling a fan, its just not in the software on the trucks. I'm not sure if the code can be added or not, it is in the FWD cars.

So, any ideas on my options for gettin rid of the fan clutch setup?

get a derale controller

Replace the black box PCM with an 0411 LS1 style 99+ PCM and then control them with the PCM.
