Purchased a pre-owned Eforce kit (#1578) for my 09 Silverado. After everything was installed by a shop and running nicely, I set about installing a boost gauge only to find that the port for vac/boost was occupied by a IAT thermometer. Apparently, the MAF/TMAP harness had been modified by the previous owner. I'm in the process of acquiring a new correct harness from Edelbrock.

Question: will installing the new harness require any re-tuning due to the IAT information being gathered from a different location or can the computer adjust to this on it's own?

As long as the IAT is in a clear path to read intake air temp, it should be fine. The pcm has modifier tables that basically fine tune the VE values based on IAT. In other words, it isn't a direct AFR command based on temp, but rather just a modifier to your VE table values based on temp.
