Ok I am not a noob to brakes but I need to ask, brand new front brakes yesterday but pedal still to the floor just slowing Down. I bled the fronts (only did the front)

Do I need to bleed the backs too? Or is it I just didnt fully bleed the front enough?

Also ABS light won't go off?

bleed everything start at RR, then go to LR, then RF and LF last. If your brake light is on, not for the parking brake, the ABS light will be on.

Go over your work. Everything look normal?

Did your pedal go to the floor before you did the brakes?

It was loose but if I slammed on it I locked them up

Explain loose. Also dont go out trying to lock up your brakes if you just changed them. Thats how you ruin them. They need to be broken in before you do any heavy braking.

Even if I didnt touch the rears? Loose as I was use to driving a Camaro with tight brakes and this is sloppy feeling, you know like a truck

A camaro and silverado have completely different brake feelings, It sounds like a combination of air, and the new pads not being broken in properly, what type did you put on?

Definitely sounds like they still have air in the lines. Bleed them according to Tylers method and make sure you have brake fluid.

Monroe ceramics. It definitely sounds like air but I've never bled the rears just by doing the front, everything always turned out ok

Unless you ran the master cylinder dry. You'd know that though. You shouldn't have to bleed the rears.

Drove it today and I guess it was just breaking in. Seem to be much better

have u tried pumping the breaks to build up pressure in the lines?

Year/mileage of your truck would help. Maintenance history? Could be a number of things.

Could be air in the ABS module. You need a special scan tool to trigger the ABS bleed mode.
