My dad's 95 4.3l starting killing on him today. It will idle rough for a few seconds before you have to tap the gas pedal to keep it running. If you push too hard on the gas pedal, it will kill. I don't know if this is a clogged fuel filter or if it might be blocked injectors. Does anyone have any ideas? Would running seafoam through it help it out at all? We're going to try changing the filter and running either injector cleaner or seafoam through it tomorrow to see if we can get everything cleaned out. Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?

Yeah. Try the Seafoam and Fuel filter. It cant hurt. The FF needs to be changed on a regular basis especially if you get fuel from stations that have dirty tanks. I try to change mine out every 12-18 months. Im due for a new one now. Thanks for reminding me. lol

Is it spraying a good mist of fuel? Good fuel filter? Clogged cat? Bad spark plugs? clogged air filter? Also check your spark plug wires and make sure youre getting good spark. Mine cranked and ran like crap one day then an hour later wouldnt crank at all. The wire from the coil to the dist. was deteriorated inside and wasnt allowing a strong enough spark.

Always goes to the basics: Fuel, Air and Spark. You have to eliminate each one as a problem, one at a time, at the last point of entry into the engine. Fuel getting in? At proper pressure? Spark at the plugs, air getting in, ( and out, like exhaust free flowing ). If you find an issue at the last point, work your way "back" until you find that cause.
