Well, there are a ton of mods that increase MPG. It's a huge selling point. Exhuast systems, cold air intake kits, tb spacers, handheld tuners, custom tunes, etc.
The trick is that these mods also increase power but you can't have the best of both worlds. You have a heavy foot these improvements can yield mediocre MPG results but if your light footed they most certainly can help.
Well if you can increase it's efficiency your economy should go up. Keep your foot out of it, and drive 65-70mph on the freeway... I get 15.5 in my heavy Z average and nearly 20mpg on the freeway going 70mph...
