Should go right in as long it is from an '01-02 Escalade. It would be a good idea to have the mileage transfered at a local speedo shop.
Yes...any 99-02 NBS chevy/gmc truck will take a 01-02 Escalade cluster.

only thing is that on the '99 models, they say that the airbag light will stay on constantly. www.jpcustoms.com sells the clusters specifically for the '99, but i think it cost a little more.
The airbag in my 99 stays on, but I just cut a small piece of electrical tape and put it over the light...
just get the 01-02 Escalade bezel/lens...... it's way cheaper and you can still use your stock guages and needles... no need to reset anything

That is where I bought mine from when I first got it to put it in my '99. I had originally gotten one for the '01-'02 years, and the air bag light did stay on. So I sent it back, and called JPCustoms to order a new one. No problems after that.

The Escalade guages speedo is different and has 20 more MPH . If someone was to do this, their speedo would be so far off it wouldn't be funny.
no, it would be ok. the overlays have 100 mph speedo's just like the stock cluster, so the reading wouldnt change at all.

I think you were mistaken....

Here is the Escalade Lens/Bezel.......
this is the Srock cluster, needles, and stock everything underneath, except the Stainless overlay which is for the 99+ truck cluster, not the escalade cluster...... once again, no need to recalibrate anything.

They have to send it in to be programed. I had them do it to my truc, you give them both clusters, they transfer mileage from one to the other, and then they give you both back. I've heard people saying they could do it with sending it in, but i've found that to be wrong. They sent mine to some AC Delco electronics shop and i got it back the next day.
sevenfold meant if you but a escalade face kit for your stock bezel u'd have a serious problems... not if you bought the bezel. IMO just spend the extra money to buy the escalade gauges, they are so much nicer than the stock ones, and i didn't have do all kinds of work to get it to look like a escalade cluster.
