i have one for my 88 and it seems like since i put it on , the truck idles wierd and sometimes surges forward when in drive. whats everyones thoughts about them?

is it surging when driving or idling at low speed? I'd lean toward an IAC if its the latter

Newer engins= garbage

Something like your 88 TBI setup you get a little gain but not much. The surge is probably caused from a leak. Most likely your TB spacer is aluminum and you probably didnt tighten it down evenly

i had to build a roll cage to keep my car street legal after adding one.
You will see a noticeable gain from a tb spacer on a tbi motor.

Really? A cage to make it STREET legal? If you're going to make an attempt at humor, at the very least, try not to make yourself look like an idiot.

The guy installed a spacer and is having issues. This has nothing in common with the random threads asking if they work.

Check for a vacuum leak, or make sure the map sensor line isn't cracked. My 89 ran like that when my map sensor was bad. You can spray carb cleaner or any solvent around the base of the spacer and lines and if the engine smooths out or the revs increase you have a leak.
