Hey all, I've been searching for awhile and couldn't really come up with the way how or the DIY..

'99 Burb OBS, factory tape deck with CD slave below. CD works just great, want to tap off factory tape side, can this be done? n how? I don't mind taking it apart and the tape deck not working at all, just mainly want the input without having to run it through the CD side with a blank CD playing... I have seen it done on the tape deck as a slave unit but that's not what I have in my ride. Any ideas, other threads to link, or just point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

They make a tape that had an aux cable attached to it... as long as you aren't blasting music then it's fine for that application... if you have a five below store around you then they have it... if not then try wally world

I want better quality audio than the cable running through the tape deck. Hence why I'm asking the question....

Someone just bumped a thread that HolyCow had made about putting aux into the stock head unit. I don't have time to search at the moment but if someone else doesn't post it by later today I will find it.
