Well it was my first time painting these plastic pieces, it came out pretty good but i didnt use the right paint. It took way too long to dry, over 2 days before i could sand inbetween each coat. since im not that patient i did it in two days, then i dropped it, FUCK, it got like 3 chips to the primer since it wasnt dry, and it got an inprint of a cd on it also because it wasent dry. O well, looked better then i though under the hood. Ill redo it as well as some other pieces. Any tips or adise? im getting a spray gun, i already have a compressor, know where i can get paint for it?

I should cover that queer purple amp line huh?

Just let it dry and wetsand it around the chips until it has a feathur edge to it (really smooth) then block the entire thing until it's ready to be repainted. Clean it down and shoot away (but let it dry before ya touch it.) You should've seen the 1st one I ever did. It's hilarious looking I didn't know what the hell I was doing lol

Yeah I would prolly go with a darker color. Why blue though? I'd paint it black or a dark grey.
I know what you mean, everyone does blue. I really liked your silver trim bezel, i think i might do a similar design in ym truck. I am thinking of maybe a silver color for underhood elements.

I'm kinda having some trouble painting my mirrors. I'm getting rid of my elephant ears and got a set of the 94+ style. I prepped them well, wet sanded all the orange peel off with 1500 grit. Then i sprayed on two coats of clear, but there is still orange peel :flame: How the hell do i get rid of that nasty textured look? do i have to wet sand the clear coat too? will i loss the shine if i wet sand it? I don't have a gun i'm just using rattle can :anitoof:
