I have a black GMC Sierra and have a few rock chips on the doors and was wanting to get am fixed but most of the body shops say they can't really be fixed without having body moldings which I removed. So I was curious as to what everyone uses to fix there chips.

I'm guessing because they'd have to paint the whole door because with the moldings gone they can't paint below them kinda like a starting and stopping point. Not real sure

I wouldn't trust a body shop that wants to stop the paint at a molding. Do it right or don't bother.

Well what exactly do you mean by do it right? That's what I'm wanting to figure out. Need to get it fixed

It either touch up paint or repaint the whole door. Depends on how picky you are.

Not really much you can do with rock chips and wide tires. Comes with the territory.

But if you're getting them fixed they need to clear the whole door to do it properly.

I've seen and read a lot about it but never used it, everything I have heard says it's good stuff for small jobs

I think I'm going to give it a shot. When I do , I'll post some feedback.
