I completely agree with everything you just said, my point is I don't trust wireless communication devices because they are suseptible to undesired operation and even worse the right person with the right knowledge and the right tech tools can take them over, I have seen remote control cars and other wireless remote control stuff operate on their own without my permission, I've seen remote control cars drive off on their own, and to top it off they are now making full-size remote control cars, they even have a racing league for them, I saw a headline last year where a full-size remote control battery powered indy car turned left on its own and crashed for no reason and they didn't know why, most important thing to understand about all this is that ANYTHING remote control can be controlled by more than one remote, you are not the only one with a remote to your device, go ahead and buy into these new "cars" if you want to and yes those fcc rules are definitely for INSURANCE PURPOSES, think about it, SMH

With DBW, electronic assist steering and ABS controls they may not be able to take complete control of the car, they can definitely impair how you can drive.

My other reasons for not wanting a newer car has to do with the fact that they are making so many things one year or partial year only in order to have the latest and greatest to offer new buyers.
I still say no one is going to try and rebuild a 2019 car/truck in 2040. I bet they will still rebuild a 2000's model in 2040, and we know they will still rebuild stuff from the 60's and later.

Completely agree with you all over again lol but don't ever underestimate the determination of a true blooded hot rodder, as bloodlines progress so does certain talents and characteristics, that being said I'm sure some young buck in the future will be fabbing up their own steering/brake/throttle systems in an effort to remain free. For the record I have no problem with people wanting to remotely automate things but I am try to put the word out and make sure they don't manage to turn this entire world into a turnkey self managing human farm of a world, I like plain streets not conveyor belts... and if I want to fly off the road into a rain gutter whether intentional or accidental is my life and my choice and I should be free enough to do so, there's pros and cons to everything, yeah automated cars might seem safer but for how long until they mess up and even worse did it really mess up or was it hacked. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I'll always trust my brothers and sisters driving skills long before I trust antennas and a handful of people with a master keyboard to the world. Also, I have something very very very very very very important to say in a summarizing manner of all this electronic tom foolery, Im a true bowtie fan till I die and I'm gonna die no matter what so I don't care who I piss off when I say what I'm about to say. I see chevy is offering electric conversion kits nowadays, let me say I have no problem with an electric motor power source propelling my vehicle, however if I see creepy boxes and a prideful rainbow of goofy electrical highways controlling my electric motor, then you can fuckin forget about it! I will however accept a good ol fashioned resistor block complete with a cooling system tied into a good ol fashioned HIGH QUALITY mechanical spring loaded scratch type speed control as a method to control my electric motor, if they aren't willing to offer this then I'm not willing to offer my hard earned dollars, plain and simple just saying...smh

Maaaaaaaaaaaan no comments got me guessing that everyone gears is super busy turning right now, well, here's one more gear to add to the drivetrain, you still have the electromagnetic frequencies to deal with, not to mention having to drive a big ass computer and battery pack on wheels in a lighting storm is kinda frightening, all this being said, imo the combustion engine should stay in play but powered by water or hydrogen if you're looking for a compromise, I guess I should be thankful that they just recently built two brand new gas stations in my area complete WITH OUT CHARGING STATIONS LMAO

I've never bought a new vehicle in my life because I know better, most of them disposable and not meant to be kept, I ride with specifically chevy v8's (I'll let the 4.3 v6 live with this comment as well) because they the only ones that encourage wrenching on your own stuff, every other brand out there hides information as much as possible and only cares about selling new cars that's why for every 1 old ford or dodge or any other brand out there you'll see still running the streets, there's a hundred chevys to match that, and I think the op dead he only got four posts and hasn't replied back, guess that's why this conversation got lead in the direction it did
