I washed the truck yesterday and as I was drying it off, it had these brown speckles all over the hood, roof, top rails of the bed, and windshield! Someone close by had to been painting and traveled???? not sure what else it could be... I live in a brand new developement. My truck is taller than my tree in the front yard. I was able to get it off the top rails of the bed with wax, but it took a little elbow grease and it was getting dark. I was gonna attempt the rest this weekend, but what is recommended or a better solution without damaging the finish of the paint??

:imo What this man said. My brother got overspray on his celica and the clay bar kit took it right off.
Works great for getting other contaminants off without harming the clear too. A claybar will eat baked on bugs like Cheerios...

oh cool!! will try that this weekend!!! any recommendations on brand?? I've always used Meguiars....
Mothers gives you 2 clay bars instead of one. It will have 2 clay bars, lube spray, and a small bottle of cleaner wax.

At the northern latitudes we get little orange specks all over vehicles, especially noticeable on white. I'm told it's from plows shaving off tiny bits of their blades all winter. But I had a white Corvette that I only drove in non-winter times, and it was loaded with these things. I guess springtime could have been the issue, with little bits remaining. Anyway, just food for thought as I know lots of you guys will never, ever see a single flake of snow (or a plow truck)!
