the stock tow hooks on my 99 just don't cut it for me any more. so i was wondering if i could take 2 of those warn reciever shackles and mount them in my frame horns. if i did manage to do this would to grade 8 bolts be enuff to hold them in or should i bolt them in and have them welded to the frame?

And Chris, have you ever thought about a front receiver hitch? That would make a great front recovery point IMO. Would evenly place the load on both sides of the frame instead of just one.

you will tear that thin little frame into shreds. a drawtite front reciever is like 100 bucks, you could spend that on 2 shackle mounts.

yeeeeeep.... throw the chain around the axle tubing. or i will hook to the front leaf spring mount when im towing or just light pulling.

With my luck I would tear the front of my sup off.
