I just recently installed a set of dimpled rotors & ceramic pads in the front. The front brakes tend to squeal alot when I get to the end of my driveway. After driving for while the squealing is gone. I did the normal brake grease on all metal to metal parts even sprayed the back of the brake pads.

Why does my brakes do this?

Yes thats only when they squeak when they are cold. I was very easy on the pads for the first 50 miles, if thats what you call "bed them in properly".
Actually no. Some manufacturers have a recommended procedure, stop aggressively from 55 mph 10 times in a row to get them good and hot, then drive for about 10 minutes without touching the brakes. Try not to stop at all during that time. That might make a difference. That's roughly the procedure that came with my EBC Greenstuff pads that I used to have.

I just sent an email to the company I bought them. "Brake from 45 mph down to 5 mph with no hard braking 5 times and let cool. If squeaking is still there repeat the above". I also stated that this was not in the instructions. No reply my on comment yet.

I have the same problem with my hawk pads. broke them in per the procedure and they still squeel with over 1000 miles on them. To top it off my cryo slotted rotors look like they already have grooves worn in them after 1000 miles. This is the 4th set of front rotors on this truck since new, 1999 with 110K. Thought I solved the brake problems with good pads and rotors, now it looks like I just wasted $300 bucks...

Well I tried the break in procedure on my way to work this morning. The nosie has gone down quite a bit but it still squeals. If the nosie doesn't quit I may buy another set of pads other than ceramic.
