when i fill it up with gas it pours out onto the ground what do i need to get to fix this also the gas guage will go from full down to about 1/4 tank when i brake to stop . its also out of gas at 1/4 tank. im thinking go ahead and get new seals and sending unit to do at one time . should i go ahead and change out the fuel pump at same time too? its a 96 tahoe . thanks guys any help is appreciated im only off today

have you looked where the leak is coming from? from the sounds of it the ring around the sending unit is rotted out. it also sounds like the float is not working. you will probably end up replacing the tank and unit. and if they are anything like the truck tanks they are a bit of a bitch to take off.

thats pretty much what im thinking just dont know weather to get the sending unit onlyof the fuel punp and sending unit together im gonna try thesealand ring only first and see what happens though.
