I have two issues on my 2002 NBS 5.3L that I wanted to get some thoughts on. After doing some Google searches, I think it may be the Fuel Pressure Regulator and thought I'd see what you guys all thought.

First issue, it doesn't always start on the first twist of the key. Most often this is when there is a half tank or less of gas.

Second issue, when I sit at a stop light, my gas gauge will go all the way empty until I start moving again. This also is generally around a half tank of gas or less.

Thanks for any help!

A fuel pump will most likely fix the gauge issue. It may fix the other as well.
