I've done a few mods to my GT in the past few weeks. First, I put four 6.5" Alpine Type S speakers in each door and a 10" Kicker Solobaric L7 all powered by a Memphis Belle 1300 Amplifier.

Second, I bought some Holden wheel center caps on ebay and threw those on.

And last, but not least I installed the GXP Diffuser today.

Before..

During..

After..

And a typical engine shot showing the Vararam and Oil Catch Can.

Thanks for all the comments.

Very nice. Where did you get the rear diffuser from? I've heard they are in high demand and short supply.

The Vararam looks nice, good choice there.

Wanna race? :D
They are in high demand and short supply just like every other part for this car pretty much. Most of them are made in Australia and take forever to get into the country. I ordered it 3-4 weeks ago from gmpartsdirect.com Part Number 92213320. $54.xx before shipping and $67.39 shipped to my door. Pace Performance had 11 of them the other day for $75 each. Not a bad deal at all and it took 10 minutes to install.

I had some problems with the Vararam, but they sent me a new unit for free and paid the shipping for the old one back. The snorkle nose on it was closing when I got on it causing the car to lag and not have a good throttle response at all. The sent a new one with reinforced bracing which keeps the snorkle open allowing much greater air flow.

If you decide to get one then make sure it has harder plastics and the plastic peice in the middle to hold the snorkle apart.

Shit yea I'll race! I'm probably going with Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers and am going to order them this week. They can be had for $500 something as opposed to Kooks or other brands which are in the $900-$1200 range with around the same performance.

Have you done much to yours yet?

much better with the diffuser homie, when we racing?
Whenever you think you're worthy biotch.

Nice, I am thinking of ordering one soon since it looks way better than what's on there.

I've only done a few mods so far. I have a Rotofab intake and a Livernois tune. I have ordered the DT Tri-Ys and they should be shipping by the end of the month. Once those are on and everything is retuned, it should be a little quicker.

It's kinda funny. I'm getting much more responses and views on this site than on multiple G8 forums. They suck! GMFS pwns.

Awesome. Let me know what you think of the Tri-Ys when they come in. I'm gonna get a tune after the headers, but I'm having trouble deciding who to go with. I also want to be able to reflash the ECM for when I have to take it in for warranty work.

Sweet. My bro just moved to San Antonio to take a nursing job. I might have to swing out that way one day. That's a shitload of miles for the G8 tho ha.

I'm going to do a write-up/install how-to when I get them so I'll definitely let you know.

As far as reflashing, my tune is "undetectable" per Livernois and I can reflash the stock tune anytime I want since they let you keep the interface and all cables necessary to hook your car up to a laptop. That part of it is what sold me.
