I have an arratic fuel gauge, that goes to empty and back and forth. I heard i need to replace my fuel level sensor and i need to remove my tank to get to it. Any advice on how to do this (easiest way)? Thanks, Jason
dont quote me or anything (and I know others will know more, but ive done a few before). theres the two straps that hold the tank, the filler neck hose and a vent hose right next to it, plus all the wiring connections. if you're gunna try to drop the tank i suggest a mirror to get a look at everything up there because its hard to look at everything to make sure you have clearence and arent forgetting any lines or anything.
get a couple of buddies (3 or 4) remove the filler neck and 8 bolts from the bed and lift it off. it doesnt take long at all honestly. it took us longer to drop the tank and put it back than it did to remove the bed and put it back on. just a thought:read:
