First off, my truck is a NNBS and i am wanting to cut the tail pipe just before the last hanger that holds up the part of the pipe that (stupidly) sticks behind the rear wheel. You know the stock ugly pieces that looks terrible.

Now on to my questions - does anyone know if this will be a problem because after its cut there, it seems like my exhaust will then point slightly toward my rear tire. Will this cause my tire to dry rot? Has anyone else cut theirs where i am talking about?

I am just wondering because i don't really want to have to weld a new piece over the axle if i dont have to.
