Im considering getting a cat back system for my '11 Sierra with a 5.3 and found this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281456124837?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I found a few videos of Gibson cat backs and they sounded pretty good.

Ive also found some stainless steel cat backs. Is that more of a marketing thing looking for a sucker to spend $100+ more or is it really worth it?

Seems cat backs are expensive for these trucks. I don't want to spend $800 on an exhaust I really don't need, just want.

I want duals under the bumper, no stupid angled tips out the sides or angled down.

i have the Gibson duel extreme on my 03 SS since 03. and still in good shape. i like the sound, but it can get a little loud inside..NOT FROM DROWN..when i bought my Gibson they use to post on their web site the db level increase in cab the only manufacturer that would state it..some will say they are to quite, but i don't. mellow at idle, screams at WOT, nice tone at cruse..my only advice would be spend the extra on stainless will last a very long time..like i stated mines 11 years old and still in good shape..

good luck

Id really like to keep the noise out of the cab. I do quite a bit of highway driving and don't want to hear it too loud inside.

I thought the stainless steel thing was just one of those things where they get you to pay more for something you don't really need.

the db level if i remember was about 5-7 db increase over stock. you being from up state NY stainless would be the way to go..i know, born and raised on Long Island i know what winter salt can do.. only option is spending big bucks on Corsa IMO- not worth it

The db is stainless but since it's 409 grade, you will get some surface rust.l, but it's still better than aluminized. still think it has a 10 year warranty though and it can be had on eBay for like $500-$600. If your looking for a cat back with duals out the back of course. Prob sounds the best. magnaflow, mbrp, Borla are all going to be relatively quiet.

I had a gibson dual sport, fit like crap and sounded very little over stock even with my headers. IMO go with the Corsa DB as stated or MBRP. The Corsa will be drone free and fit like a glove. MBRP because they sound decent (IMO) and are relatively cheap, no clue on fitment.

I watched a few youtube videos of MBRP and they sound good but some of the comments said theyre junk.

I don't like the drone of Flowmasters at all. I had them on my Mustang when I bought it and ripped them off and replaced them because I hated the annoying highway drone.

I definitely want the duals under the bumper.
