2006 Suburban, OEM Nav, DVD

Is there a way to keep the DVD playing when the truck is out of park? Some sort of bypass, or what?

Peripheral makes that NAVTV but it's probably too pricey for this customer.

You might search google for "gmc nav hacks" or something similar

I did some digging before and came across some links that said what re-wiring had to be done to make this work.

A few bucks of wire, some time, and you should be good to go.

They first say you can cut 4 wires with their universal mod, but they never follow up with how to do that?

I heard on another forum that you could cut the park wire behind the head unit and tie it to a toggle switch with the other end of the switch grounded. Any truth to that?

does it only work it park or does it work in drive also just when the truck is not in motion. Because I know on the infinite and nissan's if you put a toggle switch on the VSS wire going into the nav. unit(you loose the trip miles on the nav. but) you can type in locations, so I didnt know how GM works with the DVD stuff but it might be the same.
